Waman Bhonsle Dead: National Award Winner Editor Waman Bhonsle passed away. Waman Bhonsle breathed his last in Mumbai at the age of 89. Waman Bhosle has been a well-known editor of the film industry. He also received the National Award for Best Editing in the year 1978. Filmmaker/director Subhash Ghai has given information about Waman’s death.

Subhash Ghai has made a tweet through his official Twitter account. In this tweet, Subhash prayed for the peace of the soul of Waman Bhonsle, wrote, ‘May the soul of Waman Bhonsle Sir rest in peace. In another tweet, Subhash Ghai wrote, ‘God bless your soul Wamana Bhonsle. A master editor who edited more than 400 films from 1970 to 1990. And trained more than 25 editors. He worked as Waman Guru with Guru Shirali. He has won several commercial and national awards. ‘

Please tell that Waman Bhonsle was born in Goa. He did his early education there. After which he moved to Mumbai in 1952. After coming to Mumbai, he took up training for editing in Bombay Talkies under the supervision of Editor DN Pai and then worked as an Assistant Editor at Filmistan Studio for 12 years. His first major project was the 1967 film ‘Do Rasta’, directed by Raj Khosla. After this, he worked with several directors continuously. Films edited by Waman Bhonsle include ‘Mera Gaon Mera Desh’, ‘Do Rasta’, ‘Inkaar’, ‘Dostana’, ‘Ghulam’, ‘Agneepath’, ‘Hero’, ‘Kalicharan’, ‘Ram Lakhan’ and ‘Merchants’ are included.
