Delhi Murder Case: The Delhi Police has issued a ‘Look Out Notice’ against Sushil Kumar, who won two medals at the Olympics in connection with the death of a wrestler after a fight at the Chhatrasal Stadium. A senior police official said on Monday that the notice has been issued late Sunday evening.
The police have already recorded the statement of the victims of the quarrel. He said the quarrel was over the evacuation of a flat in the Model Town area. A senior official had earlier said that Kumar’s name in the FIR is in this case and he is absconding and efforts are being made to trace him. They had told that raids are being conducted in Delhi-NCR and adjoining areas to nab them.
The officer said that the victims alleged that Sushil Kumar was present on the spot when the quarrel took place. The 23-year-old wrestler was killed in a brawl at the Chhatrasal Stadium last Tuesday night. He and his two friends were allegedly brutally attacked by other wrestlers at the stadium.
According to the police, the fights included Kumar, Ajay, Prince Dalal, Sonu, Sagar, Amit, and others. A case has been registered in the Model Town police station under sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Armed Act. Dalal (24), a resident of Jhajjar, Haryana, has been apprehended.
However, after the incident, Sushil Kumar told the media that he was not our wrestler. The incident occurred at night on 4 May. We informed the police that some unknown people have jumped in and are quarreling. He had said that there is no connection to the stadium in this incident.
