Monsoon Update: There is a low-pressure area on the adjoining parts of south-eastern Uttar Pradesh. While there is a cyclonic circulation over the adjoining parts of northwest Rajasthan. Heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur at different places in Assam and Meghalaya on Wednesday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday predicted severe thunderstorm squalls and lightning in eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

During the next 24 hours, the monsoon activity on the western coasts of Eastern India as well as India is likely to decrease somewhat.
