Lalji Verma and Ram Achal: Bsp supremo Mayawati has taken major action and expelled BSP legislature party leader Lalji Verma and former state president and national general secretary Ram Achal Rajbhar from BSP.

Mayawati’s action comes amid speculation over the leaders joining a political party for the past several days. Ram Achal Rajbhar and Lalji Verma have been ministers of important departments during the BSP regime and are considered stalwarts. Meanwhile, MLA Shah Alam alias Guddu Jamali has been nominated as the leader of the BSP legislature party from the Mubarakpur assembly seat in the Azamgarh district. Even after the BSP was out of power, these two senior backward class leaders were still in the BSP. Ram Achal Rajbhar is considered to have a good hold on rajbhar samaj and Lalji Verma’s Kurmi community.

No information on the cause of expulsion will remain in BSP: Ram Achal

Expelled BSP MLA and national general secretary Ram Achal Rajbhar says he is not aware of the expulsion. He was neither going to any party nor going. He was in BSP, BSP and will remain in BSP. Former minister Ram Achal told Amar Ujala that BSP has faith in mission and movement. They have been working under the leadership of Sister Ji, they will continue to do so.

He said that somebody must have created some confusion. They have no wet teaching from anyone for this. I don’t know what has led to the expulsion. Ram Achal said no one can stop him from voting and getting BSP.

Big blow for BSP too

The expulsion of Ram Achal Rajbhar and Lalji Verma is a major setback not only for these leaders but also for BSP. All the prominent backward leaders of the first row in BSP including former minister Swami Prasad Maurya have either left BSP or been expelled.

11 rebels out of 18 BSP MLAs

Nine BSP MLAs are already under suspension in anti-party activities. So far, 11 MLAs of the party have been expelled after the expulsion of these two MLAs from the party. Now only 7 MLAs are left in the party.
