With this, light to moderate rain has been forecast in some parts of Southeast Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Coastal Karnataka, Telangana, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Assam.

According to news agency ANI, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in the districts of Pauri, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Dehradun, Rudraprayag, Nainital, and Champawat of Uttarakhand. An orange alert has been issued regarding this. According to the department, the monsoon can reach Uttarakhand between June 15 and 20. Conditions are favorable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of Madhya Pradesh, remaining parts of Chhattisgarh, Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar, and some parts of East Uttar Pradesh during next 24 hours.

The Meteorological Department has once again warned of heavy rain in Mumbai. An orange alert has been issued by the department for Saturday and a red alert for Sunday. Earlier, heavy to very heavy rainfall was forecast at some places in Mumbai and Thane districts. Given this, the BMC has put the agencies on high alert. Instructions have been issued to all control rooms run by the body along with other agencies including BEST, Adani, and power distribution companies to be on high alert. Navy and NDRF have also been asked to be ready.

According to the Meteorological Department, due to the activation of the South-West monsoon, good rains have started in the districts of Bhopal, Jabalpur, Hoshangabad, Sagar divisions. There is a possibility of heavy rain in the districts of Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Sagar, Jabalpur, Shahdol divisions on Sunday. Monsoon can also enter the capital Bhopal with Jhajjam rain. An Upper Air Cyclone is forming over the Arabian Sea. Low pressure is also persisting over South UP. Monsoon is active due to these systems.
