Arogya Setu App: In this era of the corona epidemic, almost every person’s smartphone will be able to find a healing bridge. The government has also repeatedly urged people to download the Arogya Setu app on their mobiles. Government departments are accused of hiding information about the app and giving evasive information
The CIC has asked the Ministry and the concerned departments as to why they should not be fined under Section 20 of the RTI Act for obstructing the giving of information related to the app and giving a roundly reply. The CIC has asked the NIC to clarify that when the Arogya Setu website is informed that it has designed and developed it and that the host is the same, how does it know about the app maker.
Information Commissioner VN Sarna has also asked the CPIO and NIC in writing that when they do not know who created the Arogya Setu App, how its website was created and how the government domain was found. The CIC has asked all the above departments to appear before it on 24 November at 1.15 pm.
