Ravi Shastri: Seeing the Test rankings, Team India head coach Ravi Shastri, in a tweet, praised the players fiercely and encouraged them to show better game even further.
The Indian cricket team has been performing a strong game in Test format for the last two years. This is the reason that when the ICC published its annual Test rankings, Team India occupies first place in it. The result of Team India’s consistent best performance is that it managed to reach the final of the World Test Championship.
The final match of the World Test Championship will be played against New Zealand in England from 18 to 22 June.
Seeing this test ranking, Team India head coach Ravi Shastri praised the players in a tweet and encouraged them to show a better game even further.
Shastri tweeted and wrote, “This Indian team has shown determination and unwavering focus to become the number-1 team. This is something the boys earn honestly. Rules changed in the middle, but the team overcame every hurdle. My boys played tough cricket in difficult times. I am very proud of these cool cricketers. ”
Let us tell you that the Indian team has dusted off two big teams in their last two-Test series. First, India defeated Australia 2–1 in the four-Test series at home. Surprisingly, in this series, star players like Virat Kohli, Mohammed Shami, and Jasprit Bumrah were left out of the series.
The team created history in Australia with the strong play of young players like Mohammad Siraj, Shardul Thakur, and Rishabh Pant.
Apart from this, India also made it to the final of the World Test Championship after winning 3–1 in the domestic test series against England. This is why India remains at number one in the ICC Test rankings.
