The Pakistan cricket team is on a tour of Zimbabwe these days and the last Test match of the two-match series is being played in Harare. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Friday that its players and support staff had got the first-round vaccine vacated by Covid-19. The PCB said that the first round of vaccination has been completed in collaboration with the National Command and Operation Center of the Government of Pakistan.
In the first round, 57 Men’s Cricketers, 13 officials of the Mains team, and 13 Mains and Women’s coaches have been vaccinated. Apart from this, the players and support staff of various teams involved in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in February – March, PCB match officials have also received the first dose of the first vaccine. The vaccination program started in Karachi on 4 March and ran for two months.
The vaccination program lasted until 6 May when eight players playing in the Test series against Zimbabwe were given the second dose of the Kovid-19 vaccine. In the next phase, domestic mains cricketers, national women’s cricketers, age-group cricketers, and domestic cricket support staff will be vaccinated.
