CBSE and CISCE 12th Evaluation 2021: The Supreme Court will hear a PIL filed today, June 17 2021 on CBSE and cicse class 12 board examinations. Both the Central Boards are expected to submit their class XII cancelled examinations during the ‘Evaluation Criteria’ hearing. It may be recalled that CBSE’s senior secondary and CISCE’s ISC board examinations were cancelled due to the epidemic.
The last hearing on the public interest petition filed by Advocate Mamata Sharma seeking cancellation of class XII examinations of both central boards and declaration of results on the basis of internal assessment was held on June 3 2021 by a division bench of Supreme Court Judges, Justices A M Khanwilkar and Dinesh Maheshwari. During the last hearing, the apex court had asked CBSE to set up senior secondary and CISCE within two weeks to create ‘objective criteria’ for evaluation of students after cancelled ISC examinations.
Earlier, on May 31, 2021, the matter seeking cancellation of CBSE and CISC examinations was heard during which the Advocate General (AG), who is defending the Central Government and CBSE, had sought two days time from the bench to arrive at the final conclusion. However, even before the next hearing, CBSE had announced the cancellation of the 12th board examinations, after which the bench had asked CBSE evaluation criteria 2021 to be submitted in two weeks to prepare the results.
