CM Yogi on KOO: The legal protection given to Twitter in India is now over. The Central Government has not issued any order to end the legal protection of Twitter. Meanwhile, the Yogi government has started showing resentment against Twitter. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has sent his first message through the Koo app instead of Twitter.
Cm Yogi wrote in his message on the Koo app: “The sailor who saved the newborn girl “Ganga” in an ark floating on the waves of Mother Ganga in Ghazipur has set a unique example of humanity. The sailor will be benefited from all eligible government schemes in thank you. The state government will make full arrangements for the upbringing of the newborn girl.’
Significantly, not following the new IT rules has taken Twitter heavily. Twitter’s legal protection in India has run out of law protection. The government introduced the new rules on May 25, but Twitter has not yet implemented the rules, following which the action has been taken.
However, no official statement or order has been issued by the government. But because Twitter has not yet implemented the new IT rules, its legal protection has automatically disappeared. Twitter’s removal of legal protection is a very serious issue. Twitter has now come under the purview of Indian laws and can be held responsible for any objectionable content.
What did IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad say about it Twitter?
Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has responded to the matter. Talking to India Today, he said Tiktok and other apps were also banned for the security of the country. We don’t have the authority about Twitter. What happens to them is from the US. This is the current state of Twitter. The guidelines are not about the use of social media but against its misuse and abuse.
